My Story

Born in New York and raised in Philadelphia, I spent the majority of my professional career in Washington, DC.

In the first phase of my professional career, I became an expert in designing strategies to support student’s socio-emotional and cognitive development. Working as a guidance counselor, teacher and school administrator, I helped thousands of students and families develop supports to facilitate student learning and adjustment.

In my second phase, I focused more on management and performance improvement. During this time, I held various leadership positions in government and was fortunate to have received various awards and industry honors. My work during this phase focused on managing multi-million dollar grant portfolios and designing process improvements. It was during this time that I realized how much I enjoy analyzing systems and developing solutions for complex situations. Still…something was missing.

In my third phase, I demonstrated my entrepreneurial skill, waking up every day and navigating unpredictable circumstances. I embraced challenges and mapped new paths to success. It was during this phase that I refined my ability to manage large-scale projects and became comfortable making real-time decisions in dynamic situations.


While I enjoyed the fast-paced, high-intensity life of a CEO, I was not happy and missed the joy of working one-on-one with families. I am grateful for all of my professional experiences and am thrilled that I can use them to benefit you and your family. For me, Effectively Organized is a vehicle that allows me to leverage my knowledge and expertise in ways that help individuals and families have less stress and more happiness.  

I am inspired by how systems-thinking, process improvement  and project management  can be used to help families organize their homes. When we meet, you will quickly see how that inspiration conveys in my positive disposition and can-do attitude. I’m a high-energy individual who gets great satisfaction from helping others achieve their goals.
